The University awarded a contract for Branding, visual identity, and website design.
Development of branding, visual identity, and website design for two federally funded research programs housed within Advancing Innovation in Maternal Health Department of Medicine (AIM-DOM): the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Maternal Health Research Center of Excellence and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) State Maternal Health Innovation Program.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) If this exemption is not approved, we will be unable to meet the work plan requirements and deliverables for two federally funded grants housed within AIM-DOM: the NIH Maternal Health Research Center of Excellence and the HRSA State Maternal Health Innovation Program. This could result in non-compliance with the terms of these grants, putting the State at risk of losing federal funding. Additionally, failure to deliver on these commitments may cause reputation harm to the institution and undermine the States efforts to advance critical maternal health initiatives.
