The University awarded a contract for Maintenance contract for Flow Cytometry System.
Full-service maintenance contract for a High-Performance Flow Cytometry System used by the Pathology Laboratory Department. The agreement includes one (1) annual preventive maintenance (PM) visit, full coverage of all repairs, priority response time, and access to phone support. It also includes Operational Qualification (OQ) certification for the Navios system. The preventive maintenance service provides a thorough inspection and cleaning, replacement of worn parts, and a detailed service report to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) If not approved, the State risks significant equipment downtime, particularly with critical units like the Gallios, Aquios, and Navios. Without a preventative maintenance agreement, we would lose priority service accessmeaning repairs could take over two weeks instead of the typical three business days provided to contract customers. This delay could disrupt operations, impact productivity, and potentially delay essential services.
