Invitation for Bid: Custodial Cleaning for Cougar Village Apt. Complex

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) requests vendors to submit bids to provide custodial cleaning services for the Cougar Village Apartment Complex. Typically, the noted areas within the Cougar Village Apartment Complex will be fully cleaned once per year, generally during the period of May through mid-August. At Cougar Village, family units will be fully cleaned throughout the calendar year as units become vacant due to family turnover. Construction and Scope Changes SIUE anticipates major construction and renovation activities within the Cougar Village Apartment Complex. The major construction will involve redesigning the current spaces and facilities. As construction and redesign activities occur, buildings and/or areas that are currently in use will be taken offline and will no longer require the custodial cleaning services requested under this bid. Buildings and facilities that are part of the new construction resulting from the redesign are specifically excluded from the scope of this bid. Custodial cleaning services for new construction buildings and newly constructed or substantially redesigned spaces will be solicited and bid separately at a later date. Vendors shall base their quotes solely on the buildings, spaces, and cleaning services that remain within the scope of this solicitation. Vendors should not include costs for cleaning services associated with buildings that have been taken offline due to construction, nor should vendors include custodial services for new construction or newly redesigned facilities that are not currently part of the existing cleaning scope. SIUE reserves the right to adjust the custodial services covered by this solicitation such as construction activities, building occupancy, and operational needs change.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof.
Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals, if applicable.
This procurement may be contingent on Board of Trustees approval.
The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.
