Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

The SIU System requires the ongoing purchase of Microsoft Unified Enterprise Support. This purchase provides each campus with a dedicated Microsoft Customer Success Account Manager who facilitates a combination of proactive, reactive and success, and management services that support Microsoft products and/or Online Services in use by Southern Illinois University System holistically. And The direct Microsoft maintenance and problem resolution support is only available from Microsoft.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software license or maintenance agreement or competitively solicited software purchase, when the software, license, or maintenance agreement is available through only the software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) This Microsoft maintenance and problem resolution support is only available from Microsoft.
