The University awarded a contract for Vanderbilt's Patient Advocacy Reporting System.
This software is used to collect and categorize patient complaint information to identify physicians generating disproportionate levels of patient complaints.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software license or maintenance agreement or competitively solicited software purchase, when the software, license, or maintenance agreement is available through only the software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) The software program is proprietary to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
