Invitation for Construction Bid: Single Prime Multiple Building Roof Replacements

Project Description
This project generally consists of the demolition, repair and/or replacement of the roof systems of the Coordinated Science Lab (0148) and the Materials Science & Engineering Building (0034) at the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign (UIUC). Base Bid CSL: Includes the preparation and coating of all existing metal roofs, replacement of the existing skylight system, new ladder and walkway access at towers and around skylight, replacement of all existing gutter liners and flashings, and replacement of all low slope roofing systems with new membrane roofing assemblies. Alternates include replacement of all standing seam metal roofing at CSL (Alt. #1), and replacement of all flat roofing systems at MSEB (Alt. #2)

A MANDATORY virtual pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held at 10:00AM on 5/21/2026 through 312-626-6799, Meeting ID: 820 6286 4609, Password: 1867. Another MANDATORY virtual pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held at 10:00AM on 5/28/2026 through 312-626-6799, Meeting ID: 892 4334 1642, Password: 1867.
Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend at least one of the mandatory pre-bid conferences.
