Addendum 01 supplements and amends the project manual and the drawings and shall be taken into account in preparing this proposal and shall become a part of the contract documents. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by listing the number and date, where provided, on the bid form (document provided by the contractor). This Addendum updates information for both Pre-Bid Meetings, no’s 1 & 2. Pre-bid Meeting no.1 is now being offered in-person as well as virtual. Pre-bid Meeting no.2 has been changed to be virtual, only. Virtual meeting information for both meetings remains unchanged. Site visit is offered following Pre-bid Meeting no. 1, only. The Splash Page is updated to align with Addendum 01. This addendum does not alter the previously published bid date(s).

Project Description
Modernization of the hydraulic elevator and associated scopes of work to create a machine room in Harding Band Building 0004. Modernization of the electric traction elevator in David Kinley Hall 0054. Finishes and equipment upgrades for both. Some asbestos and lead-based-paint abatment and MEP rework to accommodate project requirements. Minor work in corridors at lobbies/landings outside elevators Elevators in both buildings shall be brought up to current codes and standards. Neither is required to meet LEED or ISHPO requirements.
This Project is located at: Project U25086 consists of elevator modernization work at Harding Band Building (0004), located at 1103 South 6th Street, Champaign, Illinois, and David Kinley Hall (0054), located at 1407 West Gregory Drive, Urbana, Illinois
Pre-Bid Meeting 1
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held at 10:00 AM on October 29, 2026. Attendees may participate in person in Conference Room 27 DKH, located at the south end of the basement in David Kinley Hall, or via Zoom.

Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present at both pre-bid meetings to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures.
All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend at least one mandatory pre-bid meeting. Attendance at one of the two pre-bid meetings satisfies this requirement. Failure to attend at least one of the two pre-bid meetings will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.
