Future Addenda will remove the following language from this Addendum 01 under Additional Information, Item 1. “…,any equipment submitted outside of basis-of-design equipment to be submitted as a substitution (separate from base bid), outlining cost difference and compliance with specifications.” Per Document 00 20 00, Item 6.3 “The Bidders’ proposed prices shall be based on the materials, fixtures, furnishings, equipment, and methods specified in the Contract Documents and shall not contain any substitutions, qualifications, or recapitulations of the Work to be done, unless approved by University and documented by Addendum.”

Project Description
Two playgrounds at Orchards Downs Student Housing on the Urbana Champaign campus west of the North Laundry and southeast of the Community Building - are to be renovated to replace old play equipment and replace engineered wood fiber fall protection surfacing with poured-in-place rubber surfacing. Site drainage and will be improved with regrading and underdrains. The project also includes select demolition, select salvage and reinstallation, site grading, concrete flatwork and footings, and landscape Improvements.
This Project is located at: Orchard Downs Subdivision - North Playground (1881 Orchard Drive, Urbana, IL 61801), Orchard Downs Subdivision - South Playground (510 W George Huff Drive., Urbana, IL 61801)
