The University awarded a contract for a master control service agreement.
Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking an exemption for a television master control service agreement for 7 years allowing WSIU to service the stations soon to be operated in West Central Illinois as well as current customers in Southern Illinois.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for programming and broadcast license rights for university-operated radio and television stations(30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(7)) This exemption will allow WSIU-TV to add a fourth stream (channel) as well as service the stations soon to be operated in the West Central Illinois area.
