The University awarded a contract for AxiUm Software Licenses.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is continuing to use AxiUm clinical information management software and support from Exan Enterprises and has opted for the purchase of unlimited licenses for SIUE's School of Dental Medicine (SDM). AxiUm software controls all patient function, student function, and clinical facility functions, appointments, grades, etc. for the SDM clinic operations. Exan is the only company/entity the school can purchase the software license and support for AxiUm.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) This exemption is for ongoing use of AxiUm software & support currently used at the School of Dental Medicine.
