The University awarded a contract for Examination and Proctoring software subscription.
This exemption is for Examination and Proctoring software subscription that provides reporting and provides full anonymity for 500 testers and can be tied to Banner and Banner Applications support by UIC and the UI System. Timed exams can be easily implemented without having to do special set-up for accommodated students. Students accommodations are applied to all of their exams at once.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(5)) This is a subscription for an academic department.
