Examples include a comprehensive range of high-quality instruments such as scopes, laryngoscope blades, light sources, bipolar forceps, and other essential accessories. Karl Storz endoscopic systems support minimally invasive procedures performed through natural body openings, enabling clinicians to diagnose and treat conditions within the digestive, respiratory, and urinary tracts with precision and reduced patient recovery time.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) These are medical supplies for direct patient care.
