The University awarded a contract for Mass Spectrometer, Software & Assoc.
Mass spectrometer equipment and associated software and accessories. The mass spectrometer (timsTOF fleX LC-MS System) is a high performance integrated dual ESI/MALDI source UHR-OTOF system. The timsTOF fleX comes with a dual- TIMS analyzer, its unique geometry allowing incoming ions to be accumulated in parallel in the first section, and for ions to be released dependent on their mobility from the second section of the dual-TIMS analyzer. Installation, familiarization upon installation and 1-year warranty included. This purchase was written into the grant titled "A dual-source ion mobility mass spectrometry system". The grant # is 1S10OD036311-01A1.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
