Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Wiley journals offer access to a variety of journals in social sciences, medicine, and health care specialties. The Cochrane Library is a specialized resource that offers access to systematic reviews and meta-analyses in medical research. AnthroSource provides access to the American Anthropological Association's most critical peer-reviewed journals. These resources support faculty teaching, research, and student learning at UIC.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental.
