The University awarded a contract for a contract delivery system.
CVi Contrast Delivery System used in coronary, peripheral, structural heart procedures, and interventional radiology. CVi delivers the power to improve patient safety, minimizing the risk of contrast-induced acute kidney injury for coronary catheterizations when compared to manual injection of contrast media.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) ACIST CVi will help streamline workflow efficiencies, reduce contrast dose and waste, contrast-induced acute kidney injury, and radiation exposure. This is the newest and latest version and provides the staff with the current technology to provide the safest care to our patients.
