The University awarded a contract for Campaign and Collateral Production.
Span Studio LLC will work on the Campaign and Collateral Production for the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes - Hate Helpline Identity project. This includes creating a unique graphic identity and refining designs through feedback until finalized.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) IHDD serves as a consulting firm for state and other organizations to solve their problems. The vendor will contribute their expertise to the IDHR CDHC Hate Helpline Identity project. This project's revenue totals approximately $848,000, so contracting Span Studio LLC with a proven track record of high-quality work is essential to fulfilling the project goals. Finally, this project presents the opportunity to establish a relationship with IDHR - CDHC and aid the IDHR in establishing protocols for serving hate crime victims.
