The University awarded a contract for McCreadie Vestigo software.
This McCreadie Vestigo Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Oncore interface software will work with Epics Resource Matching and Referral (RMR) to integrate and identify prescriptions against patients profiles with medication histories in their EMR.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The financial impact would be huge if investigation drug studies cannot meet regulatory requirements. Studies will be closed and external funding lost which will cause disruption to operations within the department and patient care. It would also be at a cost to the University to establish a new vendor, migrate existing and past research
data in our database system.
