The University awarded a contract for a Project Lead.
Amy Louise Wicks will serve as the Project Lead for the Division of Behavioral Health: Organizational Transformation project. The Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the project under the Associate Director of Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design (IHDD), ensuring effective communication, team success, and collaboration among stakeholders.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) This project aligns with UIC's mission as a public research university, emphasizing civic engagement, healthcare improvement, and the application of academic knowledge to real-world challenges. It will significantly contribute to UIC's standing as a leading institution in healthcare delivery design and organizational transformation. If the exemption is not approved, the IHDD will miss out on opportunities to work with the state on projects, resulting in a loss of revenue.
