The University awarded a contract for consulting services.
Sabuco Consulting will help develop novel business plans for strategic academic initiatives including: a) the implementation of clinical and organized research services for Cook County Health System under a new master affiliation agreement and b) a RFP response to secure $50-$100 million in capital and programmatic funds from the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation to establish a women's health program that will bring together cutting-edge research, best practice clinical care models, and women-centered, evidence-based educational resources within UI Health.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) The consulting services are for sponsored activities.
