The University awarded a contract for medical terminology subscription.
This exemption is for subscriptions to IMO's medical terminology called IMO Core and IMO Core Periop. IMO Core is a clinical interface terminology solution that includes a suite of tools to better manage diagnoses and patient problem lists in the Electronic Health Record. IMO Core Periop does the heavy lifting of building, coding, and maintaining the procedures in your surgical scheduling dictionary to help optimize your operating room. These subscriptions are needed for Medicare and Medicaid claims.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) These subscriptions are needed for Medicare and Medicaid claims.
