The University awarded a contract for medical bed curtain agreement.
This exemption is for Cintas Cubical Curtain agreement that includes installation, cleaning, curtain exchange, cart, repair and replace maintenance, and electronic tracking of exchanges. These curtains are for medical beds and allow the hospital to meet the current accreditation standards from infection control, prevention standards.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) These curtains are for medical beds and allow the hospital to meet the current accreditation standards from infection control, prevention standards
