Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Elevate Healthcare provides a simulation center management system called LearningSpace Enterprise. LearningSpace is a recording/debriefing system that is user-friendly and provides comprehensive data, assessment, and management simulation training sessions. Software and hardware components are included with this system. The software core package provided includes the software and support for the first 10 devices (cameras, digital audio kits, and simulators). Also included are 12TB of video storage, which is approximately 12,000 hours of recorded video storage. The hardware provided includes the video capture servers, PTZ HD cameras, digital audio kits, HDMI encoders, and intercom speakers. Elevate Healthcare provides the installation and a one-year warranty for the entire system. We will be purchasing an extended warranty for an additional four years.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for specialized space available at only one location.(30 ILCS 500/40-5/30 ILCS 500/40-15(b)(4)) This exemption is being paid for by a gift specifically designated to support the development of the Simulation Lab.
