Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Verge Talent Partners will assist the Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design with the Illinois Department of Public Health reorganization project. Verge Talent Partners will assist the IHDD with Phases 2 and 3 of the project that will focus on Verge completing discovery research and creating and refining a leadership role framework to be confirmed with IDPH sponsors.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) This project aligns with UICs mission as a public research university, emphasizing civic engagement, healthcare improvement, and application of academic knowledge to real-world challenges. It will contribute to UIC's standing as a leading institution in healthcare delivery design and organizational transformation. If the exemption is not approved, IHDD will miss out on opportunities to work with the State, resulting in a loss of revenue.
