The University awarded a contract for Sequencing Supplies.
Custom Oligonucleotide Synthesis and DNA/RNA Sequencing Supplies. The sequencing supplies will be used by research departments throughout the University for research involving the life sciences.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Life Technologies can provide the necessary supplies for our DNA Core Facility to continue to provide sequencing services for the research being done by the University departments.
