The University awarded a contract for data record services.
OSF Healthcare System will be responsible for providing the electronic health record (EHR) data of enrolled participants in the All of Us Research Program in an electronic format to the University of Illinois at Chicago. These records are important for the study to be able to match their medical records to study results.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) These services are dictated by the sponsor and grant in efforts to obtain medical records for participant enrollment from the OSF Healthcare System. These records are important for the study to be able to match their medical records to study results.
