The University awarded a contract for Dental implants, implant components and supplies.
Dental implants, implant components and supplies required for use in the various dental clinics at the UIC College of Dentistry including but not limited to implants, cover screws, healing abutments, prosthetics, hex drivers, drills, etc.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement is in the best interest of the University because it provides high-quality dental products and services essential for patient care and educational purposes. Ensuring access to superior materials enhances the quality of treatment delivered and supports the Universitys mission to offer exceptional education and hands-on training for students in dental programs
