The University awarded a contract for Assessment Technology Institute (ATI).
Assessment Technology Institute (ATI) is an assessment tool that the university's nursing program uses to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their students so that they can take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(5)) UIC has opted not to use textbooks and use ATI as a learning platform, all campuses are adopting ATI fully. The information and manner in which the material is presented is unique to these products and ATI. ATI is the sole provider of a comprehensive solution for University of Illinois College of Nursing.
