Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Provide detection of exogenous chemicals and endogenous metabolites in plasma collected from study participants using Liquid Chromatography-High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) and Gas Chromatography-High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (GC-HRMS). Plasma samples will be analyzed five times (GC-HRMS and LC-HRMS using HILIC /and C18) results will include feature tables of detected mass spectral features and identified exposures. CLUES will provide feature tables of detected mass spectral features and identified exposures.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Without this procurement the data will not be collected from this Department of Defense grant and the laboratory will be barred from receiving future funds from this entity.
