Project Description
This project involves the conversion of a 3,170 SF portion of an existing office suite in the UIC Student Services Building into a Media Production Center for faculty use. The scope includes two new studio spaces with specialty recording equipment, along with modifications to existing spaces for a lobby, green room, storage, and server room. Select materials such as ceiling tiles and light fixtures will be salvaged for reuse. Mechanical and electrical work includes updates to support the new layout, including new electrical panels and VAV boxes. The project also includes new acoustical partitions and ceiling assemblies.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held in UIC Student Services Building, 1240 W Harrison St, Chicago, IL 60607 Conference Room 1535A at 9:00am on 8/13/2025.
Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
