Project Description
The existing fire alarm at the College of Medicine East Tower is outdated. In addition, this fire alarm system is no longer supported by the industry and presents a challenge in finding replacement parts. The project includes replacing the fire alarm system, including but not limited to supplying and installing new conduit, cables and devices as well as removal of the old system. The existing building fire alarm system is to remain in place and operational until the new system is fully installed, commissioned and accepted by the University. All existing architectural finishes impacted by the removal of the existing fire alarm equipment, devices, conduit, wiring, boxes, etc., shall be restored/repaired to match surrounding conditions.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held in Building 910, College of Medicine East Tower, 808 South Wood Street, Chicago, IL 60612, Conference Room 367 at 10:00 AM on 11/10/2025.

Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
