Project Description
This project is the second phase of a broader building automation system modernization project in UI Healths Outpatient Care Center. The scope of work for this project will upgrade the controls in the OCC North Tower associated with VAV terminal units, room space monitoring devices, and terminal unit controls for equipment serving the first floor oncology pharmacy. This project will take place within an occupied outpatient clinical setting including, but not limited to, corridors, waiting areas, patient treatment rooms, physician work areas, and other clinical areas. As such, special healthcare controls are required to be implemented, including infection control prevention measures and interim life safety measures. It is the responsibility of the coordinating contractor to safely execute this work within the healthcare environment and follow all established hospital procedures and guidelines.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held at UIC Hospital, Room 1021, 1740 W Taylor Street, Chicago, IL 60612 at 10:00 AM on 3/9/2026.
Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
