There are two buildings within the scope of work: Illini Union (#0023) and Illini Union Book Store (#0106)
Illini Union (#0023): (1) Replacing existing traction elevators and their components with new components for E1, E2, E5 & E6, (2) Elevator Mechanical Room: Exhaust Fan, Air conditioning, ventilation, Fire protection and suppression work and integration, rerouting of water line, all noncompliant code related items, (3) Elevator Shaft: Pit Ladder, Pit lighting, Pit Sump Pump and pit, Rail slipper Guides changed to Roller Guides, Cab, Cab doors and operating components, Cab controls including ADA Push Pad Controls, Call buttons and Car position indicators. Miscellaneous items include Fire protection, suppression and integration, all noncompliant code related items, and (4) Access controls are required to control access at each floor. Illini Union Book Store (#0106):
The Illini Union Bookstore has one public traction elevator that is also used as the bookstores service elevator. The basement level, first floor and second floor belong to the bookstore. Levels three, four and five are assigned to other campus users. Access controls are required to control access at each floor.
