Project Description
Construction of manure holding lagoons capable of holding an annual amount of 6.55 million gallons of manure from the production barns at the beef & sheep facility at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Campus. The lagoons will include a 1' thick compacted soil liner that shall be treated with bentonite to achieve a minimum hydraulic conductivity of 1.0 x 10-7 cm/s. The lagoons will also include perimeter security fencing and a 15' wide aggregate drive to allow access for manure agitation equipment. A single 10" forcemain will connect to two (2) existing 6" forcemain pipes that currently pump to the manure storage tanks to allow for dewatered manure to be pumped to the holding lagoons.

A virtual pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held at 10:00 AM on 11/19/2025 through 312-626-6799, Meeting ID: 850 8315 3820, Password: 1867. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
