Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Demo unit of ZNA vector network analyzer for ongoing research. Equipment will be used to measure ferromagnetic resonance and must have a frequency range up to 40-50 GHz, a dynamic range similar to or larger than 130 dB, noise floor similar to or smaller than -120 dBm, output power similar to or larger than 15 dBm, trace noise (with 1kHz IF bandwidth): similar to or smaller than 0.001 dB RMS, and trace noise (with 100kHz IF bandwidth) similar to or smaller than 0.003 dB RMS for a wide frequency window.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
