Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

State-of-the-art equipment thermogravimetric analysis system with combined mass spectrometry for simultaneous thermal and chemical analysis of materials to be housed in the the Materials Research Laboratory shared facilities at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and available to the entire research community on campus. The equipment was specifically budgeted on a Department of Defense awarded grant.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
