Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

The University of Illinois Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology has a desire to procure an automated powder dosing system, software to operate the equipment, along with a one-year service agreement. The equipment has an automated balance with a very high accuracy and wide weighing range (1mg-2g). It can work with up to 6 sample trays in SBS format. The unique features will make automated synthesis process extremely effective. This equipment will allow for continued research in the field.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
