Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

The thermographic system will be used to measure high temperature radiative properties of materials in the mid wavelength infrared. The instrument will be used in one the wind tunnels to perform spectral measurement of surface emissivity of materials at high temperature in a high temperature single-filament carbon fiber Joule heating setup to measure the thermal conductivity of the fiber.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
