Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

This microscope is needed to achieve high-throughput screening of leaf traits on a large number of samples per year. This equipment will replace an older system of a previous version. The new microscope will be identical to two other systems we currently own and rely on heavily to accomplish our sponsored project research.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
